Quick answer
Easter bingo uses cards with spring and Easter words like Bunny, Basket, Jelly Beans and Egg Hunt. The caller pulls words from an Easter basket or plastic eggs, and players mark matching squares with jelly beans or stickers. The first to finish a row, column or diagonal wins. It works for preschoolers through grandparents and takes about 10 minutes a round.

Easter weekend often means a houseful of cousins, an egg hunt that’s over in eight minutes, and a long wait for brunch or ham. Easter bingo is the easy follow-up activity. The words are bright, simple and familiar to young kids, and the plastic eggs you already bought double as the calling bag. Easter 2027 falls on Sunday, March 28, earlier than usual, so spring break and Easter may overlap for many families.
How do you play Easter bingo?
It’s regular bingo with spring words. A caller reads, players mark, and five in a row wins.
- Print a card for each player using the generator at the top of this page.
- Cut the calling list at the bottom of this page into slips. Fold each slip into a plastic Easter egg.
- Kids take turns picking an egg, cracking it open and handing the slip to the caller.
- Everyone marks the matching square with a jelly bean, a sticker or a pastel crayon.
- The first player with a complete row, column or diagonal shouts “Bingo!” (or “Hoppy Easter!”).
The center square is free on every card.
How many Easter bingo cards should I print?
One per player plus a few extras. For a family gathering with 10 kids and some adults joining, print about 15. For a Sunday school class of 20, print 24. Every card from the generator is shuffled differently. Print on pastel paper for a festive look, or slide cards into sheet protectors so you can wipe them clean and play again next year.
Easter bingo variations
- Egg hunt bingo. Hide the plastic eggs with words inside. Kids find eggs, open them and mark their own cards. The first full line wins a bonus basket treat.
- Golden egg round. Put one golden egg in the mix. If the caller draws it, everyone gets to mark any square they choose.
- Church edition. For Sunday school, emphasize the faith words like Cross, Sunrise and Palm Sunday, and add your own Bible words with the custom bingo card generator.
- Pattern rounds. Try four corners for a short game or a blackout to finish the afternoon.
Tips for playing with young children
- Use edible markers carefully. Jelly beans are perfect, but they are a choking hazard for children under 4. Use stickers for toddlers.
- Help with reading. Show the slip as you read it so kids can match letters. Many of these words, like Hop, Lamb and Nest, are early-reader friendly.
- Pair big kids with little kids. An older cousin can help a preschooler find squares.
- Make it non-competitive for toddlers. Let every child keep playing until they have a line, and give everyone a prize.
