Quick answer

Yes. Bingo is legal in Wyoming when a charitable or nonprofit organization that has existed in the state for at least three years runs it with a license from the Wyoming Gaming Commission. Players must be 18 or older, and for-profit businesses can't host bingo. Real-money online bingo is not legal, and no state law specifically bans sweepstakes sites as of October 2026.

Yes, for licensed nonprofits. Wyoming’s gambling law, W.S. 6-7-101, defines gambling broadly and then carves out exceptions. One of them covers bingo and pull-tab games run by charitable or nonprofit organizations that meet three conditions:

  • They have existed in Wyoming for at least three years.
  • They use only volunteer bona fide members, or paid employees or contractors.
  • They are licensed by the Wyoming Gaming Commission, a requirement in place since July 1, 2020.

For-profit businesses can’t run bingo. In February 2026 the Commission made that point in Evanston, where it shut down bingo at for-profit venues along with Queen of Hearts and similar games. A Commission deputy director told local reporters that “nonprofit and charitable organizations can conduct bingo games, but they still need a license.”

How old do you have to be to play bingo in Wyoming?

18. The statute says “players of bingo games or pull tab games shall be eighteen (18) years or older.” There’s no exception for minors playing with a parent, unlike some neighboring states.

Can you play online bingo for real money in Wyoming?

No. Wyoming legalized online sports betting in 2021, but it hasn’t authorized online casino games or online bingo. Charity bingo licenses cover in-person games run by the organization.

Free bingo apps with no cash payouts are fine. Our online bingo guide explains the differences between app types.

As of October 2026, no Wyoming law specifically bans sweepstakes casinos or sweepstakes bingo, and we found no state enforcement action against the online sites. Industry trackers updated in summer 2026 show the major dual-currency brands accepting Wyoming players.

Keep in mind that the state’s gambling definition, “risking any property for gain contingent in whole or in part upon lot, chance,” is broad, and the Gaming Commission has shown it will act against games it considers unlicensed gambling. Our sweepstakes bingo explainer covers how these sites work.

Where can you play bingo in Wyoming?

Wyoming bingo is mostly a small-town affair run by:

  • American Legion and VFW posts
  • Eagles, Elks and Moose lodges
  • Churches, schools and booster clubs

The Northern Arapaho Tribe’s Wind River Hotel & Casino near Riverton offers slots, pull-tabs, table games and a sportsbook, but we couldn’t confirm a bingo room there. We haven’t listed specific halls because we couldn’t confirm current schedules. The Gaming Commission’s charitable gaming page and local community calendars are good places to look.

How to run a charity bingo game in Wyoming

  1. Check eligibility. Your organization must be charitable or nonprofit and have existed in Wyoming for at least three years.
  2. Apply to the Wyoming Gaming Commission. The Commission has said the license is free and the application can be done online.
  3. Staff it correctly. Use volunteer bona fide members, or paid employees or contractors, as the statute allows.
  4. Enforce the age rule. No players under 18, for bingo or pull-tabs.
  5. Stick to licensed games. Games such as Queen of Hearts have drawn enforcement in Wyoming, so confirm any new game with the Commission before you sell a ticket.
